More info RA-1 vs. R888

I forgot to check pressures for my first practice at Thunderhill in january, and found 45psi hot! actually, the car wasnt that bad. . These were RA1s, so I certainly wouldnt have a hard time with testing out some higher pressures with the R888s.

I thought I would post this becuase, the RA-1 is now extinct, can't find them as far as I know. So we better figure out the R888. I have read that they orginally recommended a high hot pressure reading then lowered it, everyone is searching, Like others I am going to try and do this as scientific as i can with tire, pressure, temps, and lap times with my traqmate. Somebody need to get there hands on a Toyo engineer at the track on some race weekend and pick there brain about how they designed it to operate.

When I tried my brand new R888's in January....the hot pressures coming off track were around 40....I ended up settling it down to 38 front and about 37 rear....the handling felt MUCH better than the RA1's I had before, but they were pretty worn....

I used these for two seasons in the UK. Took the advice of my tech and used the same pressures he recommended for his GT3 customers - 34F/38R hot. Given the weight of my porker that seemed to work well.
