Going waay back to the original post:
I wouldn't compare a PFC97 to a Pagid Orange in the first place.
For racing/heavy track use (as it appears you are doing) I wouldn't even use an Orange.
Use the Pagid Yellows (or Blacks if you are into high friction as in a PFC 01) infinitely tougher, higher friction, & longer lasting than the Oranges. Better in every way.
