Sliders. I simply wouldn't be able to get in or out of the car if I couldn't move the halo seat back.

Sliders, but the crappy sparco/corbeau sliders that you can pull apart (completely) with your hands. I'd like to mount em up on some 996 sliders.

Sparcos bolted to the floor, both sides. I tried Sparco sliders, but they made the seat too tall and they seemed really wobbly compared to direct floor mount.

Sliders - it is a 2 driver car. I remove the butt cushion to gain 1" for me and to raise my Dad so he is high enough to comfortable see out.

Originally I have my Racetech 4009 Hans seat mounted with a sparco slider...the passenger seat is fixed.....I thought it felt a little loose then I watched my videos and the seat is swinging all over the place

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBjeKVFB7uA

Look at the difference between drivers seat HANS extension and the passenger....I'm getting 4-5" of sway vs less than 1 on the passenger...& the passenger is about 50lbs heavier than me....

Needless to say I took out the slider and went with a fixed mount....MUCH better now!

I have a set of BK fixed seat mounts for the GT3 seat if anyone is interested.
Good for more headroom and to save weight.

I remove the butt cushion too and now i'm buying a new (smaller) helmet to fit! Couldn't reach the pedals with the floor mount; guess i have a long torso.

A quick question for the people with halo seats.......

Wouldn't having a removable steering wheel eliminate the problem of ingress/egress with a fixed seat?

In the 911 I can get in and out without moving the Halo seat and without taking the wheel off. (with helmet and hans in tow) I don't have nascar bars, if I did it would be impossible to do without removing the wheel. I had to rework the window net mount to get it out of the way as well.

I'm a bit nervous about depending on a slider to work to get out of a car on fire. They don't work that well just sitting in the pits, upsidedown or after a whack? sketchy at best. If you're taller than 6' the seat might be far enough back, to give you enough room, or you could recline the seat a bit if it works with your driving position.
