I would go over to HMS and buy 6-point Schroths. Narrow on the shoulders for your HANS device.
Probably pull down on the shoulders, pull up on the laps.
At least, that's what I did (but, you knew that).
Is your car set up for 6-point or 5?

Rick, my car has a 5 point set up.

I am going to go HMS, I just did not want to sound too ignorant.....

Thanks for the advice.......

Don't worry about seeming ignorant; HMS is a very helpful source and glad to educate the customer.
Ask them about the 5 point to 6 point conversion; you may need to change the sub mounting points from the single centered attachment you probably have to 2 (for each seat).
Are you getting new harnesses for both sides? You will need equal protection for driver and passenger seat.

Stay away from RaceTech. I recently purchased their highest end, HANS compatible 6-point. The lap belt adjustment is down by the eye bolt, instead of on the lap. A complete PITA, I can never get it tight enough. I've talked to RaceTech, and it seems they have not heard of the problem before.

Especially since DE rules at many events require equal restraints, I would agree (although I doubt 5 versus 6 point is considered unequal).

FIA instead of Snell, for the replacement intervals. I'm happy with the basic (FIA-approved) G-Force model I'm using.

Replacement interval is a good point.....

Sabelt, Willans and OMP are also FIA- approved thus last longer......

Anyone have any experience with these brands?

I need a set like this to replace the Schroths in my '73 which expire this year. I hate them, and the ones in my cup, as they are pull down laps which are a pain with the cup type seats I have in both cars. I find the belts are also sometimes tough to engage when you push them in, I lost many seconds at the Sebring enduro due to that. Which of the other FIA types plug in better and come with pull down laps and hans friendly?

Mike,

Scrhoth makes a belt that is more of a enduro minded. A team used it at 12 hr race at Portland and with the Lemans style start they were on their way many many seconds before anyone else. There were still cars coming out of the pits when they came by for lap one. Pull up belts, easy to grab straps, etc.
