Boerboels are actually quite a bit shorter and more compact than a great dane, more like a bull mastiff with a long snout. The Dutch settlers in Zimbabwe bred the original European mastiffs with the wild African dogs to make the mastiffs more athletic. They were bred to guard the sheep and cattle from leopards...and their families from the locals.

Pretty funny! That car scoots, and you drive it well. When I was a kid I had a slot car setup and the cat would chase cars around the track. He never figured out that all he had to do was camp out in one turn and ambush the cars as they were going slowly.

We had the first Vizsla in Ohio? Duke of Ashford in 1963 then his son Fritz. I had Vizslas the first twenty three years of my life. Superb breed.

Gregg, yes they are really cool dogs. My parents had 4 at one time; the grandmother, mother, and brother of mine. They recently bred the brother, so hopefully they'll have a new pup soon, as 2 of theirs have passed away. A friend recently drove from FL to canada to pick up a vizsla pup from a specific breeder; he did not want to fly him down.
