Harbor Freight = Junk

For nothing other than swapping wheels all weekend at the track, my Northern Tool impact cordless gun works like a champ. Paid a little more than $100 and it comes with a charger, carry case, and 2 batteries!

My Goodyear is about 2 years old and the Harbor Freight that preceded it lasted about 4 years before the battery died. The only reason I got the Goodyear was it was about the same price as a Harbor Freight battery. Both worked great for removing lug nuts and the charge will easily last a couple of weekends. No reason to spend big money if your just swapping wheels.

I've got the Harbor Freight cordless impact gun.
It's definately not in the same league as the others listed here (it is a POS), but for the price it does work pretty darn well.

I have one purchased thru Harbor Freight almost 2 years ago and it still works like a charm. It costs $75.00 and still works like new. Perhaps I got a good one but there are others with similar feedback.

+a couple on the Harbor Fright gun.
Mine's been working for 3+ years now. Just charge it before going to the track, works all weekend.
Not the most bling, but leaves more $$ for tires, etc.

I've been using a Dewalt for 3 years steady. While a compressor in the trailer can/will work, the cordless gun is just so much easier, I use it instead of the hassle of pulling out a heavy compressor, hooking everything up and then having to put it all away. I use my generator to recharge the batteries for radios, tools, etc (in addition to running lights and providing power for the computer, coffee pot and AC/Heat).

Same here. Sure there's better out there, but this was $80 well spent as far as I'm concerned. I've never had a problem with it breaking lugs loose.
