+1 for the Milwaukee 1/2", mine is 18v and no issues. That being said I have switched to air drive gun since I always have an air compressor. I like it better and no charging.

I have had a Goodyear for several years and use it with 1/2 socket for wheel changes. Wheels are torqued to 94 lbs and it breaks them every time. Outside of wheel changes at the track I use an air driven gun in the garage.

And I agree... I would not trust myself to use one without it!
OT: I have a crowded trailer tongue due to winch and battery, making the swing-away tongue jack hard to crank by hand. So I replaced the crank handle with a hex socket, and now extend/retract the jack with the impact gun. Even with the car on the trailer, the Milwaukee can raise the tongue with ease. Variable speed makes that operation much easier as well.

FWIW, my 18v Milwaukee has variable speed, and is very easy to control.

The Milwaukee lists it's max torque at 325 ft. pounds. The Snap-On lists a max torque of of 620 ft. pounds.

I have a craftsman 18V. Was $299 they go on sale for $189 occasionally. It comes with 1 hour charger and is good for loosening and tightening about 200 lug nuts before needing a recharge. When I bought mine there was also a special, buy the driver and it came with a set of metric or SAE long impact sockets.
I find it works better than my Chicago pneumatic air gun. and far less cumbersome without the hose.

I've had an HF gun for ~7 years that refuses to die. When the 2nd battery started to not hold a charge for very long I went w/ the IR W360 and Li ion battery. It's a really nice unit and lasts forever on a charge.

Let me throw another brand into the mix.
I have had a Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless 1/2" Impact Wrench Kit Model BTW251 for almost 2 years and this is a fantastic wrench. 170 ft. lbs. of torque in a 3.7 lbs. package. The batteries hold a charge far longer than any tool I have owned.
Not cheap by any measure, but part of a cordless tool system. I got the BTW251 at Amazon, and later bought a 4 tool package at Costco (I needed the reciprocating saw), so I now have 2 chargers and 4 batteries to mix with multiple tools (hammer drill, small impact wrench, lights). I always have extra batteries at the track, but rarely need them.
The Lithium Ion battereies are far better than the NiMH on previous tools I have owned.
