Could you let him know I had a great investment opportunity in buying parts of the Brooklyn Bridge? Great time for his ROI before the rates go up in 2009.

The sound at every stop sign and red light must have sent dogs and cats running for the hills.
Did he complain about the cost of the brake job? Is he cheap or just dumb? What does he do for a living?

Tell this customer: 'look at the bright side, you wont have to use two feet on the brake pedal any more'..

Just about every auto parts store I worked at as a kid had one of these 'fully slotted' rotors on the wall as a reminder. LOL!

"Super Spec R" radial fin technology.

Usually I'd be able to say "I've seen worse" ... but this time, we have a new "winner."

For everyone who is conscientious enough to maintain their cars on their own, there are plenty out there who are not, hence the need for annual State Inspections.

That is a amazing.

This is one of my favorite pics from a BMW racer at Buttonwillow about 10 years ago. Notice the special pad compound. you have heard of carbon, asbestos, ceramic, but this is the new steel compound.
He couldnt figure out why his car was pulling under hard braking! Thats one way to get a cheap "turn" on the rotors.

I see this everyday at the shop I am at. I wish I couldn't say I have seen 3 rotors like that in the last 6 months, but that would be lying. I also really like the ones with tires with cord hanging out of all of them, wheel bearings that are losing the ***** out of them, and tie rod ends with 2/3 to 3/4 inch of play, each, on all 4. Welcome to the land of no vehicle inspection, where it is perfectly acceptable to have no hood, no front fenders, and a couple of $5 pep boys fog lights zip tied to the radiator support. It is frightening.

BTW - sometimes it's the mechanic shop that sends you on your way that way.
My BMW was up for it's 60K check-up -- and under warranty! The dealership just changed the oil and said everything was fine. A mechanic friend put her up on the block and found the bushings were worn. I brought it to another dealership to find out every belt was dried out and about to crack, my left brake/rotor needed replacing, and the list went on and on and on and on. You can bet I never went back to the first dealership again -- and yes, when BMW called to ask - I told all....

Presumably Canada does not have mandatory safety inspections?
