Default Best DOT race tire amongst these?

Title says it all. If your choice is "Other" could you please elaborate?

Sizes will be 205 and 225 15's (slicks not allowed).

First! When in doubt, pick C.

what is you definition of best.

Ultimate lap time or some lap time vs life vs cost thing?

Of those tires for ultimate lap only I would give the nod to V710's. However there are other tires than could be as fast not on that list.

Hoosier R 6 beats the ones on the list if it's dry.

I have not listed the Hoosier, Hankook, Nitto and some others due to size issues (they dont make a 225/50 but only a 225/45). Also the tire must not be a slick or slick like tire as the Hankook, R6, ...

As to best tire, I should say something comparable or better than the RA1 which was IMHO a consistent tire over enduros as well as sprints and had great longevity.

I'd like fast, consistent and long lasting (I want the cake and I want to eat it too.....).

Road race or autocross?

Short track or long coarse?

Dry or rain?

Cold or hot?

Shaved or unshaved?

Driving to the track or trailering?

VR's avatar seems to be a good example of "drover induced camber".
