Removable passenger seat is staying - no worries. See you later in the year!

The RaceTech seat worked out very well the first weekend out. Getting in and out of the car with the cage and the head restraint seat takes some getting use to. Are you looking for a 996 to convert?

 

Hopefully so...and trying to do CMP next month. But, I broke it this weekend and have to see what is wrong with it.

Ready to go for NASA CMP this weekend. This is the first shot of the graphics package - a bit fuzzy, but I'll get better ones outside this weekend. We'll be in the garage - stop by and check out the project. Big thanks to John at CCW for custom configuring 18x12's rears and 18x9.5's fronts to fit on the car (yes, on a narrow body) - perfect fit, not spacers!

The car came out great, I like the Racetech seat as well , Good luck at CMP .

 

John at CCW is good, it wasn't his first set of wheels that size to squeeze under a 996.

What kind of weight and rwhp are you running ? GTS3 or GTS4 ? Tire sizes ?

 

GTS4 for now. The car is around 3050 w/ driver. We're getting the offical dyno done today and are expecting 300-320 whp. Tires are 315/30 & 255/35.

 

Cool ! I built a similiar car but it runs in GTS3, so maybe it's not that similiar. I am curious what number you end up with on the dyno. Let us know.

 

Congrats! Car is turning out very nicely. I can't do CMP, but should be ready for RA next month. Are you running NASA, PCA or both at Road Atlanta?

Dyno came out right at 300 whp, so the car stands at a 10.15 ratio right now. My guess is, after this weekend, we'll add 250lbs and run GTS3.

Thanks Roger. NASA for sure, I won't have my full NASA license until I complete the RA NASA event, so there is no way that I know of to sign up for the PCA race. However, I'd love to do it. The car will be PCA GTB.

Thats great ! What mods have you done to get the 300whp ? Certainly it's not stock 3.6/x51, lightweight flywheel ?
