I was up Tues night, met with Sy, and ran into Matt Farah from Garage419, apparently he races there a lot It was my first time there and I dominated of course lol I only ran two races and ran a 29 flat on uptown. Once I get my arms out of physical therapy, I think a 28 flat should not be a problem...rehabing nerve damage from hockey and building the E46, sucks....40% loss on left arm after elbow alone.

Anyways, I really like the place, and am looking forward to going back.

I really want to get a faster kart out there though, maybe a 125 tag or something.
if you have any decent racing experience, 29 flat is pretty normal for a first time. 28 flat is a hell of a fast time however.

Went back to V17 yesterday. IMO rear tires are shot on most of the karts, stiff as hell and look glossy. no rear grip on most of the karts. was following one guy when all of a sudden i see misc hardware fall off his kart. his front right TIRE came right off on the turn before hitting the straightaway. luckily he was able to bring the kart to a stop without hitting the wall. apparantly its happened 2-3 times in the past 6 months. YIKES!

Could be a pre-cursor to Limerock guard rail...

I will be ok as I will have not been out the night before so no hangover!

Are we going to try and have some sort of mini league with points for position finish? (as there is no qualifying could also have bonus points for every place gained?) or is this just too much effort

Well, I have the advantage of being pretty light (well very light lol), but I need to get through physical therapy before I can lay down any decent times.

I think I can easily cut down a second from my time. You really have to watch their tires though, they get greasy very easily, but keeping them hot helps a lot. I've driven a bunch on a very similar indoor track and the warmup lap is important to really get some crazy heat into the tires.

The other important part is to really move your weight around...in some turns I was half out of the seat to get around the tight turns

this is going to be a low key event. I already tried getting a league together once-that's a couple weeks of my life I'll never get back.

95M3 - talk to me about moving your weight around. Which corners/how.
