Stig got a fun car to test, Caterham R500 superlight, 0-60 in 2.8, 260hp, 1115 lbs, it looks like a hoot to drive....

I used to have a little yellow Caterham like that, right hand drive & all. Fun little car & a hoot at the track!

Watched that episode last night. He really did look to be having a ball sliding that thing around the track. And the time it put down.... impressive.

Don't know that I could afford the superlite, but Caterhams are very cool and I would love to own one.

When I was in the UK my wife bought me one for my 30th Bday. Was a lot of fun although being so low on the street was a little un nearving at times when trucks went past

There is a local instructor who has that Caterham with the motorsports motor. He runs it with slicks, it is evil!

I know there have been various rumors but has the id of the Stig ever been revealed?

I know, it tended to freak out passengers being eye level with those axle mileage counters big trucks use especially when you are going down the highway @ 70 mph. Hitting a bump or washboard in a car that weighs a thousand pounds or so @ speed can REALLY be entertaining especially when it starts skipping along the top of the road like a stone headed for the previously mentioned semi

The first Stig died (launched off the end of a British aircraft carrier), he was revealed posthumously IIRC.

But Jay, being that low, couldn't you go right underneath the semi's trailer and come out the other side?

I almost used that as an analogy,

One of the best movies for the Holidays, ever. By the way it was quite "nippley" this morning 7 below here in the mountains, after being in the high 40s Sunday.
