That and the fact that I would need to sell my RSA is one of the reason I decided to pass on GTB for 2009.

I can't make a decision until I see that set of rules...

Guys, I've made at least one part of the decision. I'm not getting rid of my car. So, it comes down to when/however desperate I get to buy a race car to have TOO.

I'd regret selling it. I'm not going to make it a GTB car though. I'm going to just keep it. I could sell it or stress myself out to make it a race car, or I can wait a few months and comfortably have both. So, I may buy a 964 or 944T now to race for 2009, or I might wait till mid-summer and buy a Koni car to run in GTB. I'm just too attached to this car to sacrifice it for instant gratification.

Thanks for all your help.

Patience is the right quality to have right now. You don't want to regret any decision.

J,

you may want to consider arrive and drive. I have my GT3 that I'm highly invested in emotionally that i refuse to race w2w only TT and I love her. I was racing an M3 this year and unfortunately I crashed out and sold off the remains so I'm short one race car, my only. Next season instead of building another race car I'm buying a seat in someone else's car. Comes with a set of tires, fuel and track support. And I was surprised to find out that it costs me less then i was paying per race with a crew and my own car.

I'm doing this until I decide what i want to do, koni, GTC-3, BMW.

Makes sense to some

va,

This makes a lot of sense. I need to look into who has options like that here in the Southeast. Since this is my first season (if I get to do it... again, just keeping this car was the priority decision made) I won't be doing something like Koni, GTC, or anything of that level. GTB would be my highest level I'd run in PCA for sure, and that's just because I'm semi-comfortable with the platform. If anyone in my area knows who does the arrive and drive thing, and has an idea of the expense, I'd love to hear it. So far, it's like a vague idea in my head... kind of like leasing cars. Never knew anyone who did it. I've never done it. Seems weird not to own it. BUT it's gotta be worth looking into.

Tim,

Will do. If you want to do some seller financing, we can work it out!

HA!

Whew. Now, though the thread is titled what it is, this car isn't going to be a Synergy car anytime soon. Now, I'm just waiting to see what the $$ ends up allowing me to do and when.

Thanks Jared, I’ve been focused on business and haven’t had much time to play but I still check in from time to time. Sorry to hear about the engine dude…
