Looks like fun but you might need a shorter trailer

I've always thought a "light weight" 928 could be potent. Cool stuff. Keep us posted on the progress.

Good luck

Yes it was on ebay....heres a link to the original owner that had it built at Speed Gallery in LA..

www.tonygarcia.org/928S4/

It will be weighed and dyno'd this week....

when I looked into the car when it was on ebay I was told it was 2705lbs (with trick OMP carbon seat that probably weighs 12lbs) before they took out the headlights..which weigh 29lbs......or 2676lbs with 51-49 weight distribution....but thats with a full size 48lb battery and about 40 lbs of unnecessary of battery box-spare tire well still in the trunk + at least 75lbs of that damm tar sound deadening....

of course the cage and two race seats will add some weight back....but I hope to have the car under 2750lbs with a full cage & both seats......I think 2700 is possible since the current lightest 928 out there is 2600, but it took an acid dip to do it plus a bunch of other trick stuff

The wheels are CCW C10's 18x10 front and 18x12 rear, Toyo RA1's in 305/35 (rub bad though) in front and 335/30 rears...since its a 10" front rim I am limited to about a 295 tire...but 295/30 should fit better... I would love to be able to run 12" rims in front with 335's all the way around, but I don't think that will happen without serious fender mods....

The engine is a stock 5.0L S4 motor with only exhaust upgrades.....It is EXTREMELY strong....its got torque all over the place...you can spin those huge rear tires with ease in 1st and 2nd gear.....I would guess its close to 350hp or about 300 to the ground with similar torque... Way more than enough engine while I learn the car......upgrades to the HP are pretty easy too...I can gain about 50whp with a proper cam swap.....after that it gets pricey....

That trailer was HUGE...but its not mine, it was the delivery company's...since I don't even own a truck or trailer I will have the race shop deliver the car for me....their rates for delivey + storage are hard to beat vs buying a truck and trailer!!

There was an instructor in my region that had a stripped out 928 race car and it was very fast. Looks like a fun project.
