Toyo R888 track pressures
Tried searching this but no luck: what tire pressures[cold and hot] are best for Toyo R888 tires at the track for a GT3 RS? Tires are not shaved. Any considerations for breaking new tires in the first time? And lastly, what pressures should be run for street driving? Tires will be on stock rims.
Thanks.
Thanks.

if you have a chance to heat cycle them one or two days before you actually use them at the track, they'll wear better.
on the RA1s, I used hot pressures between 33 and 36 and they felt grippy- any higher and they got pretty greasy (which is fun). depending on ambient temps- start cold at around 27 or 29.
for street driving, the #s on the door work- cold @ 29 or 30 front and 32 or 33 rear.
you might find more specific info on the GT3 forum, lots of guys use these tires

From Toyos web page:
General Proxes R888 setup guidelines:
* Operating Temperature: 140°F to 220°F, optimum around 200°F
* Hot Inflation Pressures: High 30s to Low 40s (psi)
* Camber: -2.5° to -5.0°
* Caster: As much positive as possible

Just a data point, although not for a 911, but between two seperate DE events, the later pressures worked so much better for me (f:34.5, r:38.5), in the previous event I had them at f:33.5 and r:36.5.

I'm amazed at how different everyone's experiences are with the R888's. I've found the tires to be at their very best when their brand new and unshaved. They may only last for a few laps, but those first few laps are always the fastest for me.
With the Spec Boxster's (2700lbs. w/driver), we've tried a variety of hot pressures from 42 down to 32. For me, the 33-34 range has proven to be the quickest....

In my 2800 lb 928 with 295/30-18 front and 335/30-18 rear R888's at full tread the pressures seemed to like the high 30's....37-8 front and 36-7 rear worked quite well..... Also my 928 is about 55% front 45% rear balance

I'm wondering if the amount of camber may have an affect on optimal pressure. E.g. I only run -2 deg camber and my car felt too squirmy unless I jacked the rears up over 40psi. Just a thought.
