Castroneves indicted on Tax Evasion
Yahoo is reporting he is charged with failing to pay more than 5million in taxes over a four year period.
I just have to say WHY????????????
What is wrong with these people.

He is expected to be arraigned tomorrow morning in Miami, however, a man who answered Castroneves’ cell phone told Access that the star is currently in Le Mans, which is believed to be a reference to a race of the same name held in Atlanta.
Castroneves was scheduled to begin racing the Petite Le Mans race today. It is unclear whether he will be present for the indictment

Seriously, can they just wait a few days? He was running good times today.
Like MTosi, I am available if needed to fill-in, though. (For the driving, not the paying of taxes.)

Seriously you would think with all the money athletes make (and movie stars) that they would just pay the taxes and be done with it.
M Tosi, may be call the IRS and then run down there with your helmet.

Why doesn't he do what most F1 driver's do and move to Monaco for tax purposes?

So for anyone who bothered to read the article, note that this income does not appear to be from his employment as a driver. Not like he made too few witholdings on his W-2, and the IRS is now catching up.......... Seems to all hinge on whether he had control of this shell company. And don't we all know there are many, many financial advisors who flirt with (and beyond) the edge.

update on speed http://auto-racing.speedtv.com/artic...e-on-saturday/
for the record, i have nothing against Helio, i am sure there is more to this but from what it sounds like he knew what was going on. He just looks to smart to say he did not have a clue, if he was Mike Tyson then i would agree. It sucks but i am sure like all the other athletes and movie people, he will pay, get a slap and be back racing again.
