Just a heads up, there is a preview show (like nascar raceday) on Speed right now.

Haven't seen it mentioned before, the #7 Spyder was using aero wheels last night during practice. I haven't seen the practice results, or trap times to ascertain if they made a difference. The 5 and 6 cars had standard wheels.

I TiVO'ed that last night and gotta tell you I was pretty disappointed.
The first 1/3 of the program was pretty good. But then they got into that "Green Challenge" Gimme a friggin break. I don't want enviro-whacko's mixed in with my racing! What's next, a prototype sponsored by some tofu company!
I don't give a damn about the "carbon footprint" of a race team. Hell, I'd club a baby seal for more horsepower. What's next? Is Speed gonna have Al Gore in the broadcast booth?

Keep tofu out of racing!

I assume they are similar to the device that is on the exterior of F1 car wheels.

These are the low drag wheels. Only the #7 car is using them.

Why sit in a box like NASCAR? Why not develop future technologies?

Holy crap that was fun to watch. All the categories (except GT1 of course). Seeing these guys on the total edge on turn 1 is really fun. I hope they stream qualifying every race next year. Bummer about the Peugot. I was hoping McNish was going to hold on. But....you got to give it to them they really tried and it came down to the last lap.

Sorry I missed the qualifying. Spyders, 1, 2, & 3... Too bad the Dyson guys can't quite get the speed, though.

Brabham 1.3 seconds off qualifying pace? Did he run race trim?
