Its not about the handheld OS, its about the hardware's capabilities. The iPhone has accelerometers that are used to measure all of the pertinent data.

Popular Science has a cautiously favorable review of dynolicious

http://www.popularmechanics.com/blog...s/4288189.html

Bottom Line: Accelerometer-based performance meters are prone to error because when a vehicle squats under acceleration or leans when cornering, the tilted iPhone registers more acceleration than is actually occurring. So car-to-car comparisons aren't suited to the Dynolicious.

Dynolicious seems like just a drag racing application. Has anyone used the track day? DT007 have you gotten your 3G hooked up yet? I know you bought one just for this.

Default Harry's lap timer

Here is some feedback from PCA San Diego region website:

http://forum.pcasdr.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4429

It appears to work best with the iPhone 4.

Are you all using the Tom Tom mount or Magellan mount for the iPhone4???? Or since the iPhone 4 has GPS doe you even need these $100 mount and a simple $39 mount with no GPS antenna would work????

I have used this for over a year, and it works best with the Tom Tom mount because of the stronger GpS chip. I have the iPhone 4, and it is remarkably close to the Tramate in a direct compare, although the traqmatesampling rate is higher. I have not had a chance to test the latest upgrade with video overlay, except driving around the block, and it seemed to work well. Only caveat, some organizations will not let you put a suction cup mount on the windshield for track events. forwhat it costs, this is incredible.

PS. last time I checked, only the Tom Tom, not the Magellan, was supported according to the web site, that might have changed though.
