Cool Any Feedback on EBS Racing

My friend is doing a 2.7 to 2.8 conversion and rebuild. He is considering using EBS Racing. Has anyone used them for projects like this. Any and all feedback will be appreciated.

Thanks,

I've not used them for anything of that magnitude, but I've bought parts from them several times and everything was top notch. Great folks to deal with. They do have a website, but for that personal touch, I just email troy@ebsracing.com and he takes care of me. No affiliation, just satisfied customer.

Lou,

I've used EBS (they used to be called Engine Builders Supply) for machine work on two rebuilds, they did the case (align bore/time certs, shuffle pins) recondition the rods (bolts and trued) and I had them do the heads on a 2.7/2.8 conversion, they did a nice job and everything tolleranced out when I got it back. Same for a 2.5 rsr clone. I did all my own assembly tho. This was some time ago, but they knew their stuff. I've since ordered parts and never been disappointed. Watch shipping, I had a case damaged due to me not packaging it correctly, they were able to repair it, but it took more time.

I've had great success with EBS - been using them since 2004.

Haven't used them for engine work, but I did buy a roll bar from them. It didn't fit in my car, so I asked to send it back. They took it back and gave me a refund.

I've been very happy sourcing parts from them, for quite some time... they really know their 924's too, which helps!!!

Nothing but positives for EBS.

Did engine rebuild with their parts. They have a good injector service.

Thats becaus one of thier long-time employees owned one (a 924 turbo IIRC) for some time. I have known and been dealing with Jon at EBS for a very very long time and he is a great guy to do business with. When I actually lived in Reno they gave me the wrong rod bolts for a 911 rebuild I was doing- I think maybe I gave them the wrong part # or otherwise dyslexiced something up. It wasnt a big deal, but when I called to let them know Jon told me to run right by and he swapped them right out on the spot. I believe it might have even been on a weekend when they were otherwise closed but he opened the doors for me anyway- still owe him a few beers that come in green bottles for that kindness.

Bottom line is they are great people to do business with who charge a fair price for what they deliver. There are cheaper suppliers out there but the level of service far outweighs a few bucks.

Talked to Jon from EBS yesterday - nice fella. Will definitely buy stuff from them in the future.
