Chris,

I took a quick look at a few laps. Nice driving! I have a couple of suggestions on gear selection based on what I do. It may or may not work for you and your car but here goes.

Turn One 3rd gear go to 4th for turn 2 and back to 3rd for 3-6. Carry 5th through the climbing s turns (use those curbs and later apex's to straighten them out) all the way to the entrance to oak tree enter in 3rd and down to 2nd. I go to 3rd at the 90 at the top of hog pen and then to 4th in the downhill section and carry that all the way through. You then should be able to hit 5th right after track out onto the front straight. I have the 04 gears so it may be a little different from your car. The higher gears will force you to carry more speed in the corners!

Chris, does your car have a repaired roof where the airjack shot through (would be in the right rear area of the roof)

Not that I am aware of for sure. I will check now that you mentioned it though.

I think you drove a fine race! It was interesting that I think your shifting got much faster when you were hunting down those cups. Especially in the heat of the battle... awesome and congrats!
