Question Traqmate Mounting Location

I got a fantastic B-day present from my wife, a Traqmate/Chasecam system!

I'm going through the manuals now and wondering where I should mount things. The Sensor Unit (SU) says it should be mounted close to the cars center of gravity. Under the passenger seat is a good location. But my GT3 is stripped out. There's no windows in the CF doors and water might get into the car someday. That makes wary of installing anything on the floorboards.

What about the rollbar? Probably too high-up from the CG isn't? Mounting in the front trunk near the gas tank is probably too far away from the CG too.

Where did you guys mount your Traqmates?

I have mine installed under the seat and the GPS installed under the wiper cowl.

Mine is mounted on the center tunnel right in front of the shifter. Works just fine.

Right now I've got the "brain box" for the shift light system mounted there. I might be able to relocate that black box to another location. I don't really need to get at it.

center tunnel in front of the shifter is good, or behind the seats on the 'hump' in the rear works fine too.

Just installed mine over the tunnel, but between the seats, made an aluminum bracket. Put the head unit in place the ashtray with another bracket, fit perfectly. The gps I found a suction cup mount for it.

I think cg, level surface and centerline are important location considerations.
