Default Ultimate Garage flat top jack stands on sale til July 31

Wanted to let everyone know that Ultimate Garage has the flat top jackstands on sale for $65 each until July 31 (or when they run out of stock). See link here. I just ordered a pair. I bought a pair last year and ended up wishing I'd bought the complete set of 4. These are now made in China, but Steve at Ultimate Garage told me on the phone that he thinks the welds and finish on these are higher quality than the last batch from Europe.

No financial interest, just passing on a heads up in case anyone needs a set.

Is it me or does $260 ($300 min shipped!) for four jack stands sound a bit much? I can get the hockey pucks for $1 each.. are they $65 a pair and the ad just not clear?

$65 each.

I thought the same thing last year which is why I bought only two of them instead of 4. It really pained me to spring for just two of them at the time but a buddy of mine was really sold on them, so I thought I'd give them a try. After a year of using that pair of them along two of my "normal" jackstands when I need the car completely off the ground, I ended up wishing I had bought four of the Ultimate jackstands. They are ultra stable and secure and very friendly to the underside of the car. But it's a call each person needs to make for themselves. These definitely cost more than the PepBoys specials!

Just like anything else, an item is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.. $300 for Chinese jack stands that Chin kai chek produces for $.36... .

They are well worth it. I paid a lot more for my AC hydraulic ones and have no regrets. They are ultra stable even during the goofy 964 jacking procedure. I have a 7 year old running loose and want no worries when one of my cars is up. They rock.

I have two of these and they are far superior to the normal, cheap junk jack stands that one normally sees in use. They can't be appreciated until you use them. Mine get more use from people who like to borrow them, as they did last Monday at Lightning, then they get from me.

I know a guy, having only eaten hamburger during his life, who thinks the price of a prime steak is ridiculous.

Steve, tell me about these hydraulic, (jack stands?). Brand? Where did you get them? Safety pin so they don't leak down?

TIA

AC Hydraulic is the name of the company that used to make them, but they are mechanical stands. AC does/did make a line of hydraulic jacks that are also outstanding.

Not sure about hydraulic jack stands. A scissor lift would be nice, though.

To jack up the SC, jack up one side as shown in the picture above, place the jackstands at the corners of the tub at the normal lift points and then repeat the procedure on the other side. Then increment up, one pin setting at a time on each side to get it to the height you want.
