I posted a few weeks ago about doing a NASA DE, taking that advice i am joining and interested in signing up for a HPDE at Mid-Ohio, in July. I note in the registration that it appears to be just one day of the 3 days of activities planned. So Hear is the Q? are the DE's normally just one day out of the weekend? What Can a DE non racer do for the rest of the weekend?

They have always mixed the DE in on both race days, at least the races I have attended
Are they only showing a payment option for (1) day?

The weekend is sold out. Friday is the only day still open for DE.

By the way, there is typically availability Friday-Sunday on NASA weekends at Mid Ohio, with 4 x 20 minute sessions per day.

The DE is part of all three days:
Fri: Race and Time Trial Practice, all HPDE Classroom and track.
Sat: Practice, Qualify, Sprint Race, all HPDE groups, and TT.
Sun: Practice, Qualify, Sprint Race, all HPDE groups, and TT.

Find out if they can place you for Sat & Sun too. Otherwise just make arrangements for the Friday only.

They have DEs for all 3 days, but like mentioned above, they are sold out for Sat/Sun.

Fri is a test day I believe for racers and HPDE people who are signed off (ie. open lapping)?

Thanks Guys I guess I need to plan ahead. When I go to PCA DE's it is rare that the close out, NASA looks to be well attended. I may just do Friday to check it out.
