Looks like I got the sign-up thing squared away, working on doing this + Tremblant (both NER joint events) with my friend Luke from Boston (you might know his dad, Win Perry)... should know tonight/tomorrow! Good thought on the air mattress John, I should throw one in my truck, might as well put that trailer to use for more during the weekend than a few chairs / keeping fuel out of the sun haha

I was informed you were upgraded to Yellow and that as soon as you show your instructor you are solo material you will be instantly set free I did not get confirmation if I will be the lucky person in your passenger seat.

Correction... the number is at least 5, you know Helena and I will be there and our House on Wheels will probably be used for some of the cooking and boiling water etc.

hmmm... I guess the "Vintages" section of my local LCBO is going to be happy to see me coming this weekend. I'll be picking up wine for "Christmas dinner" with my sisters this weekend, and I might as well grab the stock for Calabogie at the same time. Good thing pay day is coming soon.

Confirmed - so who all's camping besides John, Dr. Pain, Luke (my friend who's coming)? Time to shop for air mattresses to stick in the trailer... how bad are the bugs up there?

Hey;

The mosquitos have been known to carry off small children... and Italians. They must taste good or something. Maybe it's all the vino in their veins?

Marci Gifford, the Blaszaks, myself & Tiina, Carm & Helena, probably a couple more I'm missing. Plenty to make things fun!

I keep an eye off of you guys for a day (while at the Glen) and I am swept away from a giant mosquito......

It is true though, for some reason mosquitos find me very "appetizing"......

I can tell we are going to have lots of fun in a couple of weeks......

FYI the steak tips were a big hit at the Glen this week-end.....

I myself prefer my pasta with fresh tomato sauce, but..........in all fairness I can prepare both and you can be the judge.....

as long as I have an air mattress to borrow.....

Anything involving grill-warmed dead cow is a huge hit in my book. I'm often adverse to tomatoes (sorry, I fail at life, I know) but won't turn down good cooking - you still need to tell me what we're bringing / cooking so we can grocery-shop between LCMT and Calabogie

I even carry real cutlery and melamine plates (paper plates are great for some things, but not so much for a juicy char-grilled steak with sauted onions & mushrooms!)

I'll even throw in the garlic press for this trip! ...anything else that you think you might need, just let me know and I'll see what I can arrange.

We also use 3 coolers (1 for food, 1 for non-alcoholic beverages, and 1 just for beer and white wine).
We will be bringing our trailer which includes a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, stove, oven, microwave... you name it! (No dishwasher though). We will also be bringing a Colman grill as well as a small gas BBQ. Between us and John & Tiina, I think we will have more than enough cooking amenities.

Really looking forward to see you all again, it's been a while.

Dmoffit, maybe the ladies (Tiina and Helena) have suggestions for your shopping list.......

It sounds like Canadians have restaurant quality facilities on wheels.....

Looking forward to the cooking, eating, socializing and driving......
