That was not a resistor - it was a diode. Any decent 200V 5Amp or better diode would do it.

Did any of you guys on this thread ever find the original instructions for this switch? I've got one that I'd like to install and am missing instructions.

I've got the wiring diagram that came with the batterycutoff.com kill switch if you need it.
