I was in the 944 you see getting through the wreck at the end of the video. I started just behind the yellow 911, and as luck would have it, totally blew the start. Good thing as I would have been in the middle of all of it. I had time to check up, but Steve was right in front of me and I picked the right way to go as he was spinning. Bad news all around.. Note that the two 911's that hit are good friends and all came in on the big transporter from Colorado. They have 1000's of track laps together. I'm sure the guy in the teal 911 expected the yellow car to know he was there. One other point of info. The yellow 911 did not have a right side mirror...

Gary R had crashed at T7 at WGI last year, and after we talked about how his HANS saved his head and neck, I immediately went out and bought one.
Glad to see you weren't hurt and another stark remind to wear a HANS.

I'm really sorry to hear about your incident. After being involved in 3 (none deemed to be my fault) and luckily minimal damage/no injury, I really feel for you. That was/is one nice car.
I've never been to WGI. Man! It looks like there's NO place to go when trouble arises!!
I won't comment on the driver's as I wasn't there. All I know is I hate to see bent metal, BUT your all right! Metal can be straightened a lot easier than backs and necks.

for john and others who did not see the outcome from the other thread here is the left front damage. There is also right side damage, but not as severe.

Damn! I hate to see that!! And there was just NOTHING you could have done. A perfect example of why we need to look out for each other.

Sean, sorry to hear and see your incident. I recently had an incident starting with a blown tire and then I was hit. I am still wondering why because I was not in a race, there were no other cars around, and there were many choices for a car that is over 300 yards behind. Nonetheless I commend you for the intelligence you demonstrated as you saw the incident occurring. You had little space to maneuver and you made room for others....up until the person on your right. Wish everyone were as thoughtful as you demonstrated! Good luck with your car whatever you choose to do and glad no one was injuried.

Sean,
Sorry about your bad luck! That really sucks!
No right side mirror on the yellow car
I think we need a rule suggestion to fix that situation. Race cars NEED MIRRORS
