We just made sure you were blackballed after your " jumping the start " video. We are by the book at Potomac and we won't let you steal any DE white group points with us ...

So they lowered their standards and let my BMW in (no way I'm making the 1200 mile drive in my C4S). I called the Seneca Lodge. They were out of rooms and recommended the Chieftain. Anybody got anything good or bad to say about the Chieftain?

Come by and say hello. You can't miss me. I'm the purple M3 with the Florida tags. I'll keep my hand out of Friday until I figure out the track. First time driving any track north of the Carolinas.

Hey, welcome....
What group are you in?
Also, you might want to try the Seneca Clipper Inn.... clean and reasonable....

Chieften is fine, it's up the hill by the lake, past Longhouse Lodge. The Budget Inn is downtown, a few minutes closer to the track, as is the Seneca Clipper..

They put me in green. I'm usually instructing. I actually look forward to having someone in the right seat again. I wonder if getting signed off will be as much fun as it was the first time??

Are any of these hotels reasonably close to the track. We will have our bikes and my wife would probably like to ride to the track if it's a reasonable distance and a safe pedal.

You definetly want to stay in the downtown inns, the Chieften might be a bit out of the way to get to with a bike.

Looking forward to check out the purple M3......

Even downtown is a good ride, especially going to, steep uphill a lot of the way.. Chieftan would be about a 15 mile ride I would guess, up and down some big hills..

Cool. That will get her in shape for the Adirondacks the next week. Just got back from the riding the Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville yesterday.

From the town to the track is a good stiff climb. I'd guess a little less than 1000'.

So this will be my first time at the Glen. What is the pit situation? Are there covered pits available or are you out in the open?
