Default 2008 Mid Ohio Yellow Sprint Video

Mid Ohio was a great event as usual. It was good seeing everybody. For the most part racing was very clean all weekend. Mid Ohio is a tough track to get through traffic. Jim C, I can see why you like the Pro course. I really love the chicane, but another place to pass under braking would be nice.

I qualified well, and had a great battle with Steve Schardt (maroon/silver 944 TS F class) and Jim Child (black 968 E class). Things get a little crazy in the carousel with a couple laps to go.
Well here is the video. Hope you guys enjoy it.

Tough break there Doug, but a very nice drive up to that point.

Great drive Doug! Wish I could have been there. Looks like you, Schardt, Hupfer, Childs, and Turek were all running similar times. With Hupfer up ahead and out of the mix, it would have been a great time!

Because I was completely off line entering the Carousel with the two 944's on the inside. There's no way I would have made the corner without some extra braking.

Thanks for posting the video Doug! It was a lot of fun. Sorry you had to take evasive action.

Jim,
No problem man, you did not do anything wrong. I just really wanted us both to get by Schardt on the outside . That was just racing. I'm just glad I did not hit anything.

Damn Doug. That is just bad luck at the end. Nice move though to avoid contact.
You drove a solid race.

Judging by the 5-7 car lengths the #717 car would open up on you during the backstretch, I'm assuming he's in a "faster" class? Or no?

A nice drive...you had some great runs coming out of BB.

Great driving Doug. When Jeff Parnell told me about you finishing ahead of MH himself in one of the races, I was really thrilled for you.

See you in the paddock and on the track at the Glen.

I won't dive bomb you from 100 feet back and shoot rocks at your car at this event

Yep. I will get there on Wednesday evening, for the DE on Thursday. First time out this year, first time out at the Glen. I'll look you up. Safe travel.

Fred
