Default Which Cool Shirt do you use?

Apparently there are three types: cotton with short sleeves, CarbonX with long sleeves, Firewear cotton/synthetic blend with long sleeves and Nomex with long sleeves. The cotton shirt is about $120 and the others are about $250.

My dealer tells me that most people use cotton, that the Nomex is being phased out and that the Firewear is a lot more comfortable than the other two fire resistant shirts.

There are carbonX short sleeved shirts too. I have both cotton and CarbonX.

You're right, this was not an exhaustive poll. I was mostly wondering whether people went with cotton or a fire resistant material, and I'm surprised at the results!

I've tried both and prefer the cotton to the carbonX. I just wore the cotton with hood two weekends ago at Willow Springs in 95 degree weather. WOW! does that feel good. The helmet was a little tight, but I changed the pads today and it feels much better.

i'm think i'm going to get the cool shirt vs. the fast system. but a couple of questions if i could .

listed for the fast system it says its hans friendly, and i can see in the picture, that the tubes go around the collor bone and curve out over the sholders.on the cool shirt brand the tubes go up to the coller bone but not over it, the question is will the hans interfer with the performance of the cool shirt the way that it is desigined.

the cool shirt system also has the hooded cotton shirt. how well does this work? cause i just bought a helmet last year and it doesn't have a connection for the blower system. so i think i'm going to get the hooded one.VS. buying another helmet.

i will also get the 24 quart cooler.next question should i also get the temperature control? and to get the universal connector kit that allows you to drain the shirt ? thanks all.........
