Yup, that was very helpful for me.

OK, I got a question,

How bad would it be to get out of your car and into a student's car, without taking it off?

how long to drain out, and how much hotter to wear in a 30 min session?

Totally impractical? or better cause you start off 2nd session cooler?

-guessing it would take 3-5 min to undress/redress, which is too long.... w/ back to back sessions.

Huh. In GAC we had them all on the right side. One crew guy would come in the passenger side door, replenish ice, and hook up the new driver while another crew guy helped cinch the new driver's belts, etc. from the driver's door.

Mine comes out the zipper of my driving suit, and I look like a moron walking around like that. I like the pocket idea, and that's what I will do.

Now try to picture walking around with the hoses hanging out your zipper and the cool-suit hood on!

Let's bring this thread back to practicality.

Has anyone mounted the cooler box in the front compartment in a 911 and run the hoses into the cabin ?

Also, any preference to the 12 qt vs 24 qt box ?

Yes, I do JUST that and I have a 12 qt...it does just find for me in my originally street car...but as far as a cup or completely stripped out bare metal car...I would go for the 24 just so you have the cool for as long as possible.

Ditto 25 qt! Size really does matter - on the hottest day, running 4 sessions, I find the big one lasts for 3.4 sessions. One trick I've found good is to have the ice be as solid a lump as you can get - as opposed to cubes - and to use the least amount of water possible.

I tired finding room in my "up front compartment" but it was full of all this junk my mechanic told me I couldn't rip out - 2.8L of it!

before i go cutting through my suit, i cant be the only person asking this question.
i have the Sparco RS7 suit. There is no slit.
I have been running my hoses all the way up and out through the left side of the neck after zipped up and connecting the hoses under my left arm. It works but i dont like it.
do i cut a hole in the waist side ? and nomex thread it. i do have a pocket so do i cut a hole in the pocket and feed it through that way?
