I've had the 680 for 3.5 years on a car that is frequently driven on the street, and still has power windows, locks, alarm, etc. Plus it's got the hydraulic brake booster that's charged by an electrical pump - hasn't let me down yet - starts right up. I use the schumacher battery tender from performance products if I don't drive it for a week or so.

FWIW, I've had good luck with Baker batteries. I have the smallest one (12 lbs) in my car now, and it just died after 5 yrs of very infrequent use, and no maintenance aside from a charge before taking the car to a track day. The CCA rating on the Bakers is lower than the more expensive batteries, but I've had good luck with them (first one lasted 5+ years). They are gel batteries and can be mounted sideways.

Just a quick update, since my PC680 died and I have a race this weekend, I was not looking forward to trying to get a battery shipped here express.
I found my local Bombardier/Can-Am/Segway dealer carried Deka products and I got an EXT30 with a bit more juice than my old 680 for $85 out the door. Just swapped the terminal posts over from the Odyssey and I'm back in business.
Now I just have to fab up a new mount tonite.

Interesting read on the Dynabat - they are Hawker batteries which you can buy much cheaper.

Just wondering if it has the juice to turn a V8.

My Odyssey crapped out after less than year. Bought a Sears tractor battery. 40% of the cost, more cranking power, weighs the same or less. I'll try to figure out the model # if you're interested.
