As a further follow up for people thinking about attending the Barber PCA club race, you should be aware that there will be two sprint races, in addition to an enduro. The event chairs also listened to comments received from racers at last year's race and have revised the schedule such that the last enduro on Sunday should be completed by 2:30 PM, which will allow everyone to get packed up and headed out of town early.
In addition, at this year's Barber race, the groupings have been flipped. Accordingly, the stock class enduro will be the second enduro, which will be completed by 2:30 PM. The GT/Cup car enduro will be the earlier enduro. This allows the stock classes to be the "feature" race, and also allows the GT drivers to hop on an earlier flight out of town.
The event committee in Alabama region who are hosting Barber are working hard to make this a great event. It is already a world class track. The racers in attendance last year asked for the changes that have been made. Let's now support the race by attending.

As long as they don't surprise us with another lunacy race, I'll be happy. Changing the rules after people paid good money is a really bad idea.
Thanks for the heads up on the schedule changes.

Sound ordinance? Who can hear? That track is in the middle of nowhere.
My car metered 105 at Roebling and I was asked to lift when passing the meter.
Nobody gave me a second look at Barber. 90 degree tips are helpful.

Agree with lunacy race. As opposed to Putnam Park's Top Gun which was a blast, the lunacy was to short of a race to catch up with the cars that left the grid at the front.
