Default Where to stay at Mid-Ohio?

Anyone have Mid-Ohio lodging recommendations for a Mid-Ohio virgin? Thanks in advance.

Is price a consideration? Just got back from Mid-Ohio last night and stayed @ the Super 8 just 1 exit north. Price was right @ $50 per evening.

White Fence Inn for a great (not cheap) experience right by the track.

Quality Inn and Comfort Inn are the usual HQ places and are right across from each other. Not cheap, not expensive, plus you always find your fellow tracksters hanging out in the lobby, and your Porsche is just one of many in the parking lot rather than all it's lonesome awaiting vandalism somewhere else. I usually have family with me, and Comfort Inn has what they laughingly call a water park, but my kids enjoy the water in either of the two hotels.

I've stayed at Ramanda and Comfort per above for many years, but this year I'm goinng with LaQuinta just one exit north on I71, which is brand new and about $30-40 cheaper per night.

I spend so little time in the motel room - mostly sleep and shower and out the door - that I find it hard to spend $120/nite for a room. I've been staying the last couple of years at the Super8, 1 exit north of the Comfort Inn. Same amout of time to the track. Last year for the club race, the Super8 hadn't finished it's renovation so they put us up at the La Quinta at the $55 rate we were paying at the Super8. It was nice, but not really worth the $95 normal rate. The Super8 is clean but basic. My wife's fine with it, but if you're looking for amentities for your family, you might look elsewhere.

I got an $81/ night rate at LaQ this time with a AAA discount. Beats Comfort at $120/night.

I think Comfort Inn heard you guys. I reserved 6 weeks ago and paid $85/night just this weekend, part of the PCA reserved rooms group rate I guess. I probably would not have gone there if the price was $120 and if I did not have family.

Super 8, shhhh, dont spread it around I have stayed there for cheap but if they catch wind of a big event at the track they up the rates. I paid $50 once and $85 another. It is not an $85 hotel.

I hope you aren't going on ALMS weekend. The closest I could find was Mt. Vernon.

I have never paid more than $82/night at the Comfort Inn. $120 sounds like the full bore rack rate.
