Dan,

Thanks for the Hotel info. I'm not interested in the high $$ places. (The exact opposite actually.) I assumed big bucks would be the case at the lodge but thought I would ask.

I've never driven VIR so I guess I am being serious about the line. I could follow someone knowledgeable for a few laps and pick it up that way. Or?

Brian, thanks for the VIR info. Lodge and grounds sound spectacular. Can't wait to check them out. Staying there is out of the question.

What group will you be in?
If you are in Black - follow Josh Smith

If you are in white, not sure who to tell you to follow.

Watch plenty of video. Its alot like Road Atlanta. Turns 6-12 at Road Atlanta are alot like 11-17 at VIR (in an overall sense).

I'll be in white as well, I would say follow my car, but only when Matt (930man) is driving it

I think it is a good idea to keep friends who have garage space in case of bad weather.

Do your run groups like this: Green-Blue both instructed. White - Intermediate Solo. Black - Advanced Solo. Red - Instructors. ?

Not to steal Don's thunder but this is pretty much it wth the exception that some lower HP instructors will be in Black and maybe a few instructors in White.

You guys crack yourselves up, don't you? Brian, Ted, Matt - love you guys.

Randy, 3.27 miles and 17 numbered turns (some missing, some un-numbered, so I do not know exactly how many actual turns there are - and that is after 37 days on it) is a lot of track to drive. There are several experienced drivers in white who can show you "the line". It is my experience that thats is the "DE" line, and that there are several spots where time can be gained by taking a more agressive line.

Find me at the track and I will try to hook you up with someone in white to follow, or you can sort things out for a run or two and take a ride with someone with a lot of laps at VIR.

Don
