Default Registration is open - FSR DE @ VIR

Registration opened at midnight Sunday night/Monday morning (3/24/08) for the First Settlers Region - PCA drivers education at VIR being held 05/23 - 05/25. Three days on the full course (3.27 mi., 17 +/- numbered turns), five run groups, four 20-25 min. sessions per day. 114 registered as of 13:22 3/25. There are a total of 205 slots (30 Green, 35 Blue, 40 white, 50 black, 50 red).

Registration is being done at www.clubregistration.net. This site is new to us, but is being used because it has a lot of management features missing eleswhere. Several people have reported difficulties. Please be persistent and patient - you will get through. Email the webmaster at events@clubregistration.net if you just cannot get in. Email me with questions about the event at dbryant61@***.net.

All payments are going to be by mail to the address listed on the registration website.

Come join us. It has always been a great event.

From here on, this thread can be a BKS roll call, or "who else is going". Anybody got a spare 915 trans?

Matt, John, BKS, somebody else, could you please post this on 6Speed?

WHOA this is sick, I just got back from a 3 day Zone 2 event at VIR and can't wait to get back, but all of the upcoming events throughout the summer have been only 2 days, and it's a bit of a trip for me to do just 2 days!

Question, when is this event, you didn't mention a date? And the website is so confusing LOL, would love to know tons more info ! Email is dragon133@aol.com

I am posting this on 6speed now!

Martin,

Thanks. I edited the original post. It is 05/23 - 05/25, which us Fri-Sun before Memorial Day. Get to work on that car. I heard there was a sick Ruf at Zone 2 in the red group with north of 800 hp turning 1:58s. You got some work to do.

LOL yea that car was a beast, and the driver EVEN MORE SO! My car is fine at it's power level, 930Man ran a 2 flat in his GT2 (he said its a sub 2 car), we have similar setups and power and I ran a 2:11, shows you driver is the limiting factor but it was my first time out at VIR with my new setup/on new R888's so I can't complain

I went through the registration for the website, it was straight forward and easy, I also found the event and will be signing up. Looking forward to meeting you, how will this compare to the Zone 2 Manny put together, as big?

Can't wait and thanks for the heads up

Martin

Martin,

The numbers are identical with Zone 2. Lots of the same people. We do not draw from as large an area, so we allow lowly BMWs, Ferrari, Nobles, Ariel Atoms, Bugatti Veyrons...well just about anybody

BKS,

This should be the first event for the new monster car that is being built in Texas. I look forward to seeing you and the rest of the gang. I can only hope that I am in Red, First Settlers will only allow instructors in Red and due to motion sickness I will not be instructing. The right seat is tough.

John H

Check the listing that they have posted, you may be registered. I got the same message and went to see who was signed up and found that I was listed, only seconds after I hit the submit button and got the wait list message. You must still mail in a check as the system is not accepting credit cards at this time.

As of 4:00pm today there were only 50 some people listed and I am sure that they will have upward to 180 when they finish.

I'll get the rear quarter primered up and you can lend some supervision with the Krylon. I've seen your work....I know your secret........
