For those of you getting antsy about not having a confirmation email or a run group assignment, I'll be spending a few hours this weekend opening a big stack of envelopes with checks, looking you up on our past rosters for run group assignments, making run group assignments, and sending confirming emails. By the end of the weekend, everyone from whom I've received a check should have a run group assignment, and a confirming email with technical inspection form and other data attached.

If you feel that your run group assignment will not be clear from FSR history or from your history on www.clubregistration.net, shoot me an email (dbryant61@***.net) to let me know what run group you have been running in, or a letting me know about a recent promotion.

I hear that JCarey, MattC, and BKS have been installing restrictor plates and will be running in white!

People would pay to see this. I would also predict a 30 page thread (with video analysis) the week following the event.

Well I'm at Road Atlanta right now learning just how slow I am truly am....
I just can't seem to get a rhythm going - so Ted, if people paid anything more than $0.01 to watch me (us) they'd be paying way too much

"I'm at Road Atlanta" - I'm jealous. I'm sitting on my a$$ opening envelopes, counting checks, and making run group assignments..and my trans (not tranny) is sitting on my bench begging for attention. Hopefully it will come apart this evening.

Brian, have a blast!

OK. I'm registered for this event. Not confirmed yet. (checks in the mail) First time at VIR. I need someone to show me the line. Are those arraignments your job Don?

Where do you guys stay? I want to be near the track. I heard there is a lodge at the track. True? What is it like. How much does it cost? Any chance of getting a roommate?

I ordered 65-70 degree weather and sunny. I hope you all are OK with that. :

And Randy - everything at VIR is nice...
Lodge is nice, pit road suites are nice, they are simple, but serve their purpose well. Approx $120 a night or so...

Randy,

Glad you are joining us. If the lodge is full, I booked a block of rooms at the Sleep Inn in Danville. Call them and tell them you want a room in the block reserved for the Porsche Club.

There are quite a few of us that prefer staying in town. There are several decent (mind you - only decent) restaurants in town and staying in town makes it easier to get to and from the restaurants. Plus it is a few bucks cheaper.

Is that all the infor you need, or were you being literal about "the line"?

BKS, your tagline reads "My 2500lb car with stock gears, and 13yr old shocks just ain't gonna cut it any more it doesn't look like" and "quit complaining". Please! Apply the latter to the former. What you really need is 17.34 lbs/hp so you can run with real drovers like Ted and me.
