Default NASA GTS Hoosier Tire Contingency Awards

For any of you sitting on the fence about running some NASA GTS Challenge events, Hoosier tires just announced a contingency program that awards 2 tires for the winner of each GTS Challenge class with 3 or more entries and 1 tire for second place if 5 or more entries.

The specific rules can be found at www.hoosiertire.com clink on the link in the news section that says

Hoosier Tire Offers N.A.S.A. Contingency Program

That's good news, too bad I was just informed there will be no Limerock NASA race this year.

At least we'll get PCA in before they tear the place up.

There, ya happy now? And I *could* run her just as she sits, but with the new MXL, all painted up, new rugs, and the Charlie Boyer graphics pack just imagine it!! And to top it off while I was typing my new CCW's just arrived!!

I just signed up on the website.. very simple. You have to have 3 Hoosier Stickers (2 on the sides of your car and 1 on the front) and a Hoosier patch sewn on your fire suit which they mail out once you register online. You must also be racing on Hoosier tires on all 4 corners. Also, if i am reading correctly, this is per race, not for overall season standings. As long as there are 3 cars registered per class for 1st place, you get 2 tires. As long as there are 5 cars registered for 2nd place, you get 1 tire. 2 races per weekend throughout the season could equal a good amount of tires????? Is this correct?

This is a minor problem, I bought my last two sets from Tirerack...but my Wets came from Hoosier East! Hope it rains!

"To participate in Hoosier's NASA contingency program, race tires must be purchased through one of our authorized trackside dealers/distributors."

Phil's Tire Service is at all NASA-MA, NE, and Ohio region events and is a Hoosier authorized dealer.

Yep, we have a dealer at all our races also, but the tires on my car and my new ones are from Tirerack.. guess that's the last ones I buy from them!

Oh oh. My Hoosiers that I have on my car and another set of brand new stickers on another set of wheels are from Tire Rack as well. I guess I have to buy another set from one of the 2 registered vendors to be eligible. You can't have to many sets of Hoosiers... right??? Thanks for the heads up.

I think a receipt from a registered vendor will suffice, i'll just photocopy it 3 times..
