Question How much does your mounting & balancing cost?

I am interested in knowing what the average cost is that everyone is paying for mounting and balancing of your race or DE tires. I know that a percentage of you get it done for free, but knowing that won't help, so only chime in if you are paying or know what the going rate is.

Thanks.

It's been awhile since I had it done, but about $120 sticks in my mind for some reason...

I had four tires swapped on a set of 18's recently at Discount Tire for $60 with a one time spin balance.

there are two local shops that do a good job when I need to have the tires flipped. Dismount, flip, balance - $20.00 each. I tip the guy too; because, the balance has been good to V-max and they have not damaged the wheels in even the most minor way.

$80 at VIR using Sasco. If I use my local Discount Tire guy that I buy ALOT from, then he charges me about $20-30 total if he even charges me.

$25 is the high end (Porsche race/resto shop near me) and $18-$20 is the low end (cold calling any number of local tire dealers).

$79 for 4 245/45-16 tires with road force balancing. The guy even rotated one of the tires on the wheel a couple times to get it to balance within the tolerances he wanted. Other places were asking $25-30/tire once they heard track tires.

In my area, many DE/Race shops charge by tire size, with a range from $25 -$35 per wheel with the best equipment and weights taped on with foil tape. then there are all kinds of deals for regular customers, as Larry alludes to.

$20-$25 per w/balancing. Usually done at race shop.

I'm sure it would be more if they index the tires.

I have paid $12ea at a small local shop, $15ea at Discount Tire (PCA member price) and a few other shops. I paid about $20ea at a race shop because they filled with nitrogen and taped the weights for me, when that shop went under we bought their equipment so I mount and balance my own tires now.

$15-20 each for mount and balancing of 18'' slicks.

The tires are dropped off and picked up for me to install at home.
