LSRPCA DE February 9-10

VR.....Dude, thanks a bunch for all of that. Great of you to take the time to analyze the video and make comments. I really wish I had been able to get you in the car with me. That info sure would have come in handy during the race, uh I mean DE. Too bad the Club Race won't be run CW. That was a blast.
I'm going through some more of my video and trying to decide if I should post it or not. If you think my line was bad on that Sunday AM run you should see the Saturday runs.......ugly.

2:03's CW is about 8 seconds off of Buckley's CCW time. Welcome to D or F or whatever it's now called.
You guys sure looked like you were having fun and you turn out some very nice and clean cars. Kudo's to all of you. I'd like to see all of you come back to another DE. Jake might have some different feelings, but you guys were a great, fun group.

Russell,
Try out www.vimeo.com You can upload HD videos, & they allow you 500mbytes per week. You will bet a much better quality video compared to whatever it is youtube does to the video files.

I'll have to try uploading an HD clip soon, but 500mb goes fast at full res HD.

Yes, I believe he is. There is a slightly more economical line that actually crosses the blend line that I was experimenting with. Finally got it right early Sunday morning, and it really worked, but it also requires really dynamic driving that is very sensitive to what the car's center of mass (as opposed to the front & rear end) is doing at all times. Next time we go CW, I will show it to you.

VR - I tried that "economical" line with instructor Pat, when they weren't letting cars out of the hot pit anyway (gheez!). I found that line to be a bit more intuitive, and certainly faster. It set me up for 15 a lot better than the wider angle, as I simply slid right up to the curbing on the right at a nice parallel angle. It also allowed a longer stretch of straight&flat for heavy braking.

I'm gettin' kinda misty here. Didn't expect all the love from you LSR guys. We really had a great time and we all just love the track. I'm sure you will see the BR gang down there for more DE's in the future.
Thanks for the nice comments on our driving and cars.
For those of you who have inquired about cars or have an interest in building one please don't hesitate to call Jim Buckley @ 817-239-7969.
