I guess 96,000 miles on the original diff is a lot.

Nice to see so many of you!
Which group and run was it in? In the 3rd White session, there was a debris flag and a minor smell from the track through 2 corners.

Oh, OK, thanks, Sean. My rev limiter is at 7,000 RPM, however, and I don't have cams. Dan at Diffs Online thought that a 3.73 would top out at barely 140mph at 7,000 RPM's at TWS....andI don't like hitting the rev limiter. I think I am gonna opt for the 3.46 since I have a lower rev limit and no cams. Sure will be a lot better than the stock 3.23.

Greg, yeah, Stuart is a very good driver. I am glad you hooked up with him. He has done a LOT of work to that car suspension-wise ot get it to drive the way it does, including a special TC Kline suspension specifically designed for that car. I drove his car at Barber Park and it is a true delight. He and I usually run nose to tail wherever we go, unless one has a passenger & the other doesn't, or vice versa.

To address your earlier question, I considered taking the car off track into the dirt, but I didn't want to, and since I was able to keep it running at low RPMs in high gear & made it back to the pits, I did. Stopping a hot car on dry grass is a BIG problem. When in doubt in a broken down car, stop on asphalt...

Dave, I have a 3.64 in my broken track car. Seems fine at TWS, even when getting towed in. Heh.

Cam kit + 3.64 FTW.

See, I am just a Nice Guy. When I am coming outta the pits on my warm up lap & a-holes like you come up behind me already at speed, I give way.

'Cause that's how I roll---I am a giver.

Greggie, you wish. You do understand the term "lead and follow", right?

Thanks, George! Watching or riding along with you experienced guys really adds to the right-seat instruction I get in my own car. I rode shotgun in my instructor's car in my two previous DE's; wish I had done that at ECR too.

yup, that was me alright. I recognize that arm out the window. It got a lot of excercise in a few of those sessions...
