Why is the "Fake Hans" thread closed?

Here is what their ad states:
BRAND NEW
HANS DEVICE WITH STANDARD TETHERS
THE BEST PROTECTION AVAILABLE AGAINST HEAD AND NECK INJURIES
By the way.......
*** clown (ás kloun) noun: one, who, through the fault of his parents conception, is a skid mark in society's collective underwear.
ps. If Stacy at OG RACING closed her thread b/c I called these *** clowns, *** clowns for selling HANS devices and passing off as new, then that makes no sense. I am sure she has a better explanation.

But seriously, what does John D have against *** clowns? I'd really like to know.

$650 is an awful LOT for a pirated knock-off. Geesh.
Does anyone know how highly stressed HANS devices are during an impact? I have to wonder if there's much added risk in buying a knock off, even if it's got inferior materials. (please don't freak out at the question; I'm just wondering).

I don't think John closed it. That comes across as the OP closing the thread. If John does it, he usually makes the last post and states why it is closing.
I think John's patience over the years (like ours) for *** clowns has left
Call 'em out if they are an *** clown is my motto

Oh dear God I hope not. That's the reason I left 6-speed several years ago when that site got new "management". Post/Threads mysteriously would be edited or erased and "management" would never return any email/pm inquiry as to why.

Thanks everyone, I didn't close the thread, I have been doing some research on this company and will let you know the outcome.
Thanks for reporting this to ebay, I am sure that HANS is also doing the same.

As far as how/why the thread was closed:
As Ricky Ricardo said.......somebody's got some splainin' to do!
I sure hope the new "management" didn't pull that stunt.

There was H&N thread some time ago that had the stress data in it. IIRC it was something along the lines of 3000 pounds of pull to fail. I also think the info is on the HANS site in as video too. I also remember that even when one side slips out during an impact the amount of energy taken to do this was enough to save you anyway.
i can't fathom someone thniking they can market a knock off device with the intent for people to use it on the track. To sit under a fake helmet on an rabbid F1 fan's shelf perhaps. The clips look like they are press punched rather than machined. Sadly I bet that there are enough people that would purchase it for use even knowing it is a knock off.
