Just to let everyone know, the ads have finally been pulled from eBay. The unit in question was a cheap imitation made in South America. I believe they only sold one which was to us. We had to buy one to get the import paperwork so that we could track where it was coming from. To confirm, they can not be certified by SFI or FIA. If anyone has any questions, you can direct them to me at hbennett@hansdevice.com. OG Racing can certainly help with any questions also. Thanks.

Can you tell if the seller was intending them for in car use or only for display under the fake helmets? Can you easly tell that the device is fake just by looking at it? The company that sells the helments maks no bones about the helmets being fake. Were they as clear with the H&N?

Howard is exactly right. They had a price that was "competitive" with the real deal and they touted all over the ad that this was "the" item to have for safety and sold it as a "HANS device with standard tethers"
