Siebkens - South / East building is gone.....
I had no idea it was going to be gone when I turned the corner from Lake Street (neither did the locals in the car with me).
I know I know, "all in the name of progress". Still sad to see it go.

Last I heard the bar was not going to be razed.

I heard the bar stays.
Someone hurry and get it protected with historic landmark status.
More lies have been told in that one saloon than in all the singles bars on Rush St.
Thanks for the pics Hacker

Both buildings on the east side of the alley are scheduled to go down. I'm pretty sure the other building will remain until the most of the new condo's are sold.
Compared to what? Siebkens is still in better shape than 99% of the facilities at Road America.
It's a small Wisconsin village next to a lake. If you want 5 stars, stay in Chicago.
You have Lake Street Cafe & The Paddock Club, leave Siebkens to those of us who like the place. I'm almost afraid to mention The Brown Bear or SAL's.
