Is there any site out there that confirms some of th details that the Speed crew mentioned during the Italian or Belgian Grand Prix? Specifically that Alonso had demanded that Hamilton be suspended/removed from his seat for the remainder of the year?

Actually, the rumor was that Alonso told Dennis, "make me your #1 driver in every possible way or I go to the FIA and tell them all of the bad things I have been doing with Ferrari secrets".

Think about it a little more. Ron clearly is pulling for Hamilton, there are no constructors points to be had so he shouldn't care who finishes 2nd, and I bet Ron would do just about anything to keep the #1 on his car next year. That wouldn't happen if Alonso wins and leaves. Really, without a complete meltdown, Kimi has no chance of catching Hamilton, only Alonso does. Look for Alsonso's car to break as soon as Raikkonen and Massa are mathematically out of it.
