It appears the West Coast racers fared well there. So how did you guys enjoy Loren's creative TT racer that won the Sprint Race Sunday. His qualifying time of 2:11:416 apparently shattered the previous PCA record there. His car has dynoed in excess of 800 HP....

Any of you mid-westerners consider coming West to the PCA race at Miller Motor Sports in Salt Lake City?
It's only a day trip or two.... Sept. 28-30th....

Here is loren's car. It was an amazing setup.
IIRC the previous track record was in the 2:14 range, set by a TRG car.

Well after I saw the pink bra, curb feelers, and neon license plate frame you have on your car I figured it was pointless to keep up with a blingmeister like yourself so I took them down.

Ray, it was fun to meet in person. Don't let A.Wayne give you too much crap. Soon everyone will have flames like us. A guy approached me this weekend and told me one of this customers was copying the paint on my cup car. Right down to the colors. I'm not sure I really care but it does sort of **** me off.

Jim - your car did look great. I stopped by again a couple of times, and you were not there. One of these days...

Unfortunately , the Flame is in rays car , not on it like yours

Ray, i took everything off, except the curb feelers , they are perfect for curb hopping ..and paddock parking

Jim, your car definately stands out in the pack. The car is stunning! It was always easy to pick you out in traffic.

I saw you make some great passes. Too bad about all the traffic in your qualifying session.

I didn't look at it too closely, but that roof scoop is for pulling air to the engine compartment, and it has a 'twin' that was paddocked next to it. It was a MONSTER. The trailer that it came up on was full of possibly the most interesting cars. Those two beast, and two 500+HP 928 racers that were also seriously fast.

Thanks Ray. It was actaully a blast starting back a ways in the enduro. Looking at Mylaps I think I dropped back to around 48th on the start and ended up 22nd overall so I had the chance to make a few passes. That's always fun.

Sprint qualifying went much better.

Yes, It is twin turbocharged. It is supposed to make in excess of 800 hp. You can read all about it on their site. The address is on the door sill in that pic. It is called the 911 Design FPM.

I am in no way affiliated with 911 Design.

Re: Loren's car,

Not to take anything away from Loren, but that's not the fastest PCA race time at RA. A 962 has run 2:09's, I beleive (perhaps not a fair comparison, but still a PCA time). Martin Snow ran 2:12.4 in 1998 in a turbocharged 911.
