Highlight of the weekend: Rob Martin as an instructor. What a fine teacher (and driver). Plus his and Barbara's hospitality - that's how you build club spirit and forge new friendships.

Favourite on track moment: Waving Geoffey and the rest of the Cup cars by... on the Green run!!!

Geoff, I was the green bracelet waving the pass after the warm up lap. Man that was hilarious - you must have wondered what was up with the idiot in the silver 993 driving so SLOOOOOOOOW. I knew there had to be a mistake when I heard/saw your group in the rearview warming your tires behind me. All in good fun - I regret not introducing myself and meeting you personally. Maybe next year?

I'm hooked, as I knew I'd be. I see 3 events in my future for 2008!

Cheers~!

Matt

Hey Matt. I'm the guy with the red 996 GT3 that was hanging out under Rob's awning all weekend.

The hospitality is normal. Isn't it great?

Hi Matt, yea, that was embarrassing. With the dual language everything was written in, we got use to ignoring 1/2 of what was written and didn't notice that there was a different schedule for Sat/Sun, assuming that that column was just the French column, and as such were on Friday's schedule which had Red going out first. I knew something was wrong when I saw your green arm band as you gave the pass signal.

We were talking about doing this event again next year.

This was my first event with Rennsport region as well and I was very impressed. Great people, great cars and very good driving. Yes, it was fun watching you GTC1 cars "not racing"...

It was fun running with you Joel.

Bar is in! I got the DAS Sport bar powdercoated red. It looks awesome.

They are still working on the seats.

Calabogie is a great track. Takes awhile to learn just where to go with all the turns and fairly long length.
