+1 , money don't drive the car , or make the lap times......

True but that wasn't my point about being a pro driver, my point was that many of the pros have money to be able to pro race, many of the really good club racers like Roy Chong, Spenser *** don't have that kind of cash to able to suport a life of pro racing, other pro racers like David Murry have to do other things like coaching to support their income.

Keith Peare. (Though he hasn't raced recently to my knowledge.)

It is also hard not to recognize the triumverate in GTC1, as Colin mentioned. Savenor may be one of the winningest PCA racers of all time, Burger just beat him at Mosport and is always giving him a run for the money, and Scotto holds the GTC1 lap time records at the Glen, Lime Rock, and Mosport, where all of them race.

I don't know Seth, but I will second/third/fourth for Mr. Gatlin. Ditto for Dave!

Agree, Timmy is pretty fast in his 914 and roy does know his 944 , not sure in other machinery , how they would compare ....

Yeah, OK but GTC1 lap times don't count

Best Rennlist racers?

To be honest it is tough to say. There are many many good racers on Rennlist, PCA, NASA, etc. Which ones are the best? I am not sure you classify that since very few run in the same classes.

There plenty of guys in fast cars that a really fast, but is it the car or driver. Picking the top drivers in a single class is much easier. Even not all drivers run the same events either.

This is for the best Rennlist driver, and Keith doesn't post (though I do think he is one of the best PCA racers ever...2 flat at Watkins Glen in a GT4R car does not lie!).

You can say that all you want, but 2:05 at Watkins Glen in a 280hp/2600lbs car is a top pro level time.

Great list going but my vote hands down is Leah Keen. Had the opportunity of seeing him run at VIR (my home track) and was humbled, truly humbled....

Another one who occassionally posts on the Cayman forum side is Ernie Jakubowski who races the Mantisport Cayman S. He has set PCA class records at several major tracks across the country in the last couple of years and I believe has won something like 10 of the last 12 races they've competed in...Impressive.

Wayne, since I have known him, always his 993. Was a student of mine a while ago. He has really good skills from what I saw and was impressed by his car control.

I nominate all of HWFM Racing.
We may not be the fastest, but we laugh the hardest.

And I'll echo Sunday Drover and Michael Benet.
(Michael once showed me just how fast the TurtleCar can gallop, put it on the class pole at Road America - well I know it isn't the car)

Agreed. No hp, just skill.

Mike I is sensational. Unbelieveably quick.

Not sure if Karl Poeltl and Mark Hupfer post. Both terrific in F, the second most competitive class in PCA Racing.

Exactly how I felt when I saw Leh Keen fly down the final turn at the Road Atlanta CR earlier this year. No offense to others but he was noticeably faster (1:21:8) than the rest of the field.
