Traqmate users....do you have the RPM input?
This is in reference to adding the RPM input to my GT3 (cross-posted over on GT3 board). GT3 Forum Link
Here is a link to the part: Traqmate RPM input
If so, where are you tapping into the RPM signal?
I am thinking of adding the Traqvision software but feel it is worthless without adding the RPM input.
TIA!

I have the RPM component but haven't bothered to install it yet. Traqvision is far from worthless because you can see why there might be variation in your lap time. For example, you might be having a great lap and then "blow" a turn and only with vision realize it's because you caught up to another car. Having a million visual clues during a lap is never worthless

True Ron. I guess I should have clarified a bit more. It is worthless to to the HUD aspect of the software. I could care less about the speedo but could really get alot from watching my tach.

I'm right there... I use my TraqMate a lot but have not yet tapped for RPM.
Imagine my happiness when I found out that my indicated 118mph at PIR turned out to be only 104mph from the GPS. Sometimes data can be irritating

O.K. So, for my '86 944 Turbo do I order the "TraqTach RPM Input" or the "TraqData Analog/Digital/RPM Input"?
Also, do I go the "High Energy Coil" version or the 5V version?
P.S. I'd also like to log boost.

Thank you for getting me motivated to install the RPM input and power hardwiring today!
I have a track day tomorrow so it will be cool to check out.

Hank, I used the OBD Pin #9 to tap into RPM. Very simple to do as I used an OBD right angle connector (pictured) with one end cut off so I just tapped in to the pin 9 location and ran that wire to the Traqdata RPM input. SImple as that. Then just make sure to go into Traqview and make sure you select the box "enable RPM" and make sure you have specified the number of cylinders for your car.
