As long as the mix can be kept hot enough to flow through the paver and the rollers are able to meet densities the cold weather isn't a issue. Its not like curing concrete.

No, but just like concrete, it shouldn't be placed on frozen soil so there are limiting parameters for placement in cold weather.

We hope they know what they are doing! For example, that the pavement is not crowned they way it is as Summit Point.

Its late November, early December in south Jersey. It ain't that cold!

"Mixes must be placed and compacted before they cool to 185 o F, so the minimum temperature will depend on the temperature of the layer upon which it is being placed as well as ambient conditions.

Generally, agency specifications will spell out a minimum acceptable temperature for the mix. Some specifications will use 225 o F, and others may use 250 o F."

July 26-27 at VIR Full is a MidAtlantic and SouthEast Chapters crossover date, while the NorthEast Chapter will be at Thunderbolt.

Nice.

For the 1-2 people here who have been on site, are there small banked to most of the turns, or is it mostly flat other than the couple elevations and the one bowl turn?

Eitherway looks awesome, i was just curious because it looks like you will be going very fast entering some of those turns and I was hoping there would be a small banking built in to give it that extra grip.

I just got an e-mail from the registrar of the Schattenbaum PCA region. He said they've got 3 DEs planned here in '08!

Good point! (for us)

Matt,
Are you planning to come up in '08 to check out the track?

I'd like to if there is an event that doesn't interfere with a NASA-MA event. It will also depend on how my HPDE->comp license progress is going.
