Still I can get an cute escort & David Murry to come up to the track with me for less money and still have change for a pint afterwards.

So based on the targeted demograhics, and if Geoffrey and I are ripping it up doing 56's in our P-Cars, I assume that A) we will probably be the fastest cars on the track and B) we win the cuties buckles up our harnesses for balance of the day prize? And at the end of the day, when we are all exhausted from sooo much track time, can I assume we had a happy ending?

Sounds like fun to me!

Absolutely, that'd be great. You're more than welcome to come and rip 56's - IF you promise to be nice and point-by the Spec Miatas doing 55's.

Touche! Does sound like more of a fun time than anything else. I am away the 29th, but honestly 2K for a day at the track is a tad pricey. Have fun just the same!

Jimbo, I attended an event with them at NHIS last year.
Great bunch of guys, great customer service, wonderful lunch, beautiful T-shirts and hats memorabilia....
High caliber event, perfect for a first timer on the track..... as far as the Miatas doing 55's, he is just pulling your leg....

Is this an open pipe event, or do we have to run mufflers?

I know they said they had cute pit ladies...... is this the new "code" for using protection?

$1800 for a set of slicks at JD Motorsport
Running Open pipe with pit ladies: Priceless!

Where's that smiley that says "this thread is worthless without pictures"?

Then again, having cute spokesmodels and someone taking pictures of this all day may cause more problems than it solves...

Lime Rock certainly is Mecca.

On the other hand, we rent a 2.5 mile 13 turn track in Lewistown, Motnana for $300 per day. That's right, the whole track. The insurance from PCA is more than the track. We charge $75 for two days of track time. We never have more than 10-15 cars on the track in a run group. Most have only 5 or 6. Those that have been here will vouch for the fantastic facility (recently repaved) and laid back atmosphere of our Montana Track Days. In almost 15 years of operation, not one injury accident. We have anything from 914s to CGTs show up.

Most of you in the northwest could pull ton MT, spend two nights and still have money left over compared to some of the other tracks.

Next event: 30 June, 1 July. The other is in September.

PM me if you want more info.

Interestingly, the overhead shot is from Google maps. it was taken on the very day we had a track day. If you zoom in from maps.google, you'll see our cars lined up in the pit area.

Yes, indeed, Ron. Will be at LRP for FCA next weekend - will your car be done in time?

FYI to everyone, the day was a blast. 16-18 of us had the track for the day, as well as the Skippy instructors and use of the drifting, er, I mean, auto-x course. No sound issues, thankfully. Good weather, great food, fantastic friends, more track time than what we knew what to do with. Pro pics will come later. Here are a couple of amateur shots....

vty,
